A text file can be created with the data needed for an Approved Trip Inventory (ATI) database. The format of this file is as follows:
|
Node Number |
Zone |
SBR |
SBT |
SBL |
WBR |
WBT |
WBL |
NBR |
NBT |
NBL |
ELR |
EBT |
EBL |
Thus, each line of the file contains the traffic added by one zone to one intersection. The Zone Name field of TRAFFIX can be used to contain the project identification name or number. Each project should have its own zone when an ATI is being used. An ATI database is created outside of TRAFFIX using a program such as Microsoft Access, or a similar database program. The purpose of the ATI database is to maintain a record of the trips to be added by already approved projects. Thus, these approved trips can be included in the Existing+Approved analysis case for other proposed new developments. This feature of TRAFFIX allows the ATI database to be easily updated when new projects are approved.
