20.8 NOTES FOR USING THE CIRCULAR 212 OPERATIONS METHOD

The Circular 212 Operations method functions in TRAFFIX™ much like the planning methods. Lane width, area type, bus, and truck adjustments to the saturation flow should be determined by the user from Circular 212, multiplied together, and then entered as a single saturation flow adjustment factor for each movement. This can be entered on the User Saturation Adjustment screen, from the Geometry pop-up menu

TRAFFIX™ does not automatically factor up all volumes by 1/0.85 as recommended in Circular 212 for the operations method. The user can do this by entering 1.18 in the “Intersection Adj.” field of the Volume Adjustment screen, from the Volume pop-up menu.
