Place the cursor over zone #1 again, RightClick to bring up the zone pop-up menu and select Land Use. This will bring up the land use types data entry dialog box.
Enter the description of the land uses and their units (e.g. Single Family DU’s, Retail ksf, etc.). Make an entry for each type of land use in the zone for which you will be entering trip generation data.
Click OK when finished.
Place the cursor over zone #1 again, RightClick to bring up the zone pop-up menu and select Trip Generation. This will bring up the trip generation data entry dialog box.
Enter numerical amount of land use (e.g. 53 single family dwelling units; see Table 1 for Zone #1 land use data). Tab to the next field.
Select the appropriate trip generation rate name from the drop-down dialog box (in this example there is only one). Enter the inbound and outbound rates in the appropriate data fields (e.g. 0.60 in and 0.40 out for the single family uses).
Select the next land use from the land use drop-down field, and enter the next land use amount (repeat Steps l and m).
When done, click OK to exit
