TRAFFIX™ can export UTDF compatible files into Trafficware's Synchro program, using Tools/Write File/Synchro (UTDF). For future volume scenarios, use Tools/Write Computed Volume File and then choose Synchro (UTDF).
TRAFFIX™ allows the user to write files in the column (*.dat) format (readable in Synchro 6 or below) and/or in the comma (*.csv) format (Synchro 7). Additionally, TRAFFIX™ writes out the combined data file (*.csv), which is new to Synchro 7.
When writing the network layout, for best results first go to Options/Global Data/Parameters and set the "One system unit equals __ feet" to a value of 25.
Synchro's ability to optimize coordinated signals and ability to write SIMTRAFFIC & CORSIM compatible simulation files gives TRAFFIX™ users an avenue by which their networks can be converted to simulations.
