Read Turning Movement Files Created by Transportation Models

TRAFFIX™ for Windows can read turning movement data files created by EMME/2, MINUTP, TMODEL, and TRANPLAN. These features are located in the Tools menu. To use this feature, you must create a TRAFFIX™ network that has the same intersection numbers as those in the transportation model. You will need to include at least the nodes at which the volumes occur and the immediately adjacent connecting nodes.

TRAFFIX™ can also read turning volume data from ASCII text files created using a word processor or a spreadsheet in a standard format. Using an Excel spreadsheet, the text file can be created as a Formatted Text file (.prn - space delimited). The file format is 13 columns of numbers, with one intersection per row. The first column is the node number, the other twelve columns are the turning movement volumes. The volumes must be in the following (N S E W ) order:

node nbL nbT nbR sbL sbT sbR ebL ebT ebR wbL wbT wbR
