Copy By Data Set allows the user to copy the contents of individual data sets to other data sets, using the dialog box shown below. Data can be copied between data sets in the same database or in different databases.

Mark the appropriate check boxes to indicate which data sets are to be copied. Use the drop down boxes to specify the database and data sets from which data are to be copied and the database and data sets to which data are to be copied.
Click the "Select Data Records|" button to access a dialog box that lets you select what is actually copied in this process. This brings up the same Select Data Records dialog box described above.
Click the "Copy" button on the By Data Set dialog box to begin the copying process.
